Defeated, Balisk's body began to break apart as bubbles streamed from him. As the two halves finished merging, Tom stabbed his blade into the black stripe showing where the Water Snake separated. Tom swam towards them, smashing the snout of the Sea Balisk when the Beast lunged at him. The Sea Balisk smashed through the boat as the Air Balisk descended, the two halves of the Water Snake striking each other and beginning to merge back into one. The Air Balisk swooped down at the small craft as the Sea Balisk dipped below the waves to attack from below. Elenna and Leo rowed the boat towards the two halves of the Beast as Tom pointed his blade at the Air Balisk and told him to fight him, who roared in response. The Air Balisk lunged again, dodging an arrow but as he approached Tom, the warrior cut through one of his horns, forcing the Beast away in pain, hovering over his over half. Elenna fired an arrow at the Air Balisk, who hissed in pain and recoiled, while Leo jabbed his fishing spear at the Water Snake in the sea, forcing him away. The Sea Balisk hissed and the Air Balisk began to move towards his foes, however the Beasts were cut off by the arrival of Sepron.
Balisk fully splits in two, the Sea Balisk crashing back into the surf as the Air Balisk used his frills to hover over the Pirates of Makai's ship. Balisk responded immediately by leaping out of the water, his body glowing red and remaining motionless in the air as he began to split in two, ignoring an arrow fired by Elenna striking the scales behind his head. With a violent twist, the Beast threw his foe from his body and plunged deeper as the Pirates of Makai began hurling darts at the Avantian. As the Water Snake swam deeper, he began rapidly turning in an attempt to throw Tom off, however the warrior used the Serpent Tooth to negate the rushing water. Sanpao ordered his Beast to drown Tom, with Balisk roaring in agreement, lunging upwards and crashing down below the surface. Tom yelled at the Beast to fight him, causing the Water Snake to begin trying to turn his head to snap at the warrior. Uncle Leo dropped from the spear into Elenna's boat, enraging Balisk, who struck it with his tail while splintering the planks. Tom struck the Beast's skull with the flat of his blade, disorientating Balisk, whose movements grew sluggish. Tom leapt onto Balisk's back and started grabbing and tugging his fins, causing the Water Snake to begin thrashing in the water. As Leo was pushed off the plank, he grabbed a fishing spear Tom had thrown into the hull of the ship, hanging from the handle as Balisk rushed towards him.
The Beast returned to the surface, roaring with hunger. The Water Snake lashed his tail into the sea, throwing water onto Tom and Elenna, before diving back under the surface. Obeying the call, the snake Beast burst from the water near the plank Uncle Leo was being forced onto, his arrival silencing the jeering pirates. Balisk returned to swim around the Pirates of Makai's ship as Sanpao sent out initial raiding parties.īalisk looming over Tom and Elenna's boat.īalisk being forced away from Leo and Sanpao by Tom as the Water Snake rushes past.Īs Tom and Elenna confronted Sanpao, the Pirate King summoned Balisk by drawing out a conch shell and blowing through it. Balisk smashed into the boat, tearing it into flotsam as Leo attempted to swim to safety, however the Water Snake quickly pursued him below the surface, captured him and brought him to Sanpao, who kept him as a prisoner. The Beast broke the water to stare at Leo, rising up to loom over the boat before lunging at the fisherman. Balisk knocked the underside of the boat, rocking it and causing Leo to lose his balance. The Beast and ship found Elenna's Uncle Leo working and the Water Snake chose to attack, swimming directly below his small boat. Sanpao used the power of a branch he and the Pirates of Makai had already taken from the magic tree to bend Balisk and five other Evil Beasts to his will alongside Aduro.Īs the Pirates of Makai arrived in Avantian waters, Balisk was sent forward to act as a vanguard. The Beast became the target of Sanpao, who desired to control Evil Beasts to aid him in attacking Avantia so he can capture the Tree of Being. Balisk was an Evil Beast who terrorised the Western Ocean for decades, however seemingly kept clear of the mainland due to it being protected by Sepron.
